“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13

Looking back at this year and seeing the goodness of God and looking forward to 2020 with all hope in our Blessed Hope, waiting and watching and praying for His return!

The rains have begun in full force here now and have entirely interrupted the progress of the projects here, but we trust that the Lord is in control of the weather and the success of these building projects. We have purchased two of the pre-fab cabins for the camp, and are hoping to pour the foundation slabs for them this week! Construction on the pavilion by the pool has also begun! It will be an octagon large enough to hopefully hold a hundred people for all of the gatherings that we host here like Church baptisms, mission retreats and Thanksgiving. We are praying for a couple of days of sun in order to finish the floor!

My mother is here with us again! She made it in time for us to have her here for Christmas, and we are so blessed to get to spend the holidays here with family!

Mike Huls came down to spend Christmas with us and his grandparents! It is a special blessing for us to have him here with us for the holidays. We all feel like he’s already family and a part of our team! He has the sweetest servant’s heart and a teachable spirit. He doesn’t shy away from hard work, and he’s a delight to have around. We are so blessed to get to have him here with us and hope that the Lord makes his way straight as he wraps up all of the details to move down here!

Our Corynn turned seventeen this month! I have a hard time even writing that out. Wow. Where did the time go? She is such a tremendous blessing to our family – always willing to serve with such a sweet spirit, and she loves Jesus which radiates a special beauty from within that blesses all who know her. We are so blessed to be her parents and can’t wait to see the ways the Lord will direct and use her precious life!

There was a double baptism during youth group out here which was so sweet to witness! It was made even more special with each of the boy’s dads baptizing their own sons. Praise God!

We look forward to all of the new opportunities in this coming year to serve in this Kingdom work! There are already several jungle trips being planned for Vann to help our tribal working missionaries with solar power, wells, satellite internet, latrines, etc. It is our hope that we can begin construction on the duplex for more missionary housing soon too. There is already a waiting list of church planting, jungle missionaries that need a place to live and would like to live here as soon as we have a place ready for them. Please pray that the Lord would provide in every way for us to house and support these precious missionaries!

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.” – Helen Howarth Lemmel

I hope that you look to Jesus in this coming year for He is our Blessed Hope!
